About South Florida Mustangs

Our Mission: The South Florida Mustangs Youth Sports program is dedicated to fostering the growth of tackle football and cheerleading within our community. We aim to guide young athletes toward maximizing their talents and abilities, emphasizing motivation, goal setting, and healthy competition. Our mission is to inspire participants to develop not only athletically but also personally, ensuring they carry these values into adulthood.

Programs Offered

Tackle Football

Our tackle football program is designed for children aged 6 to 14. We offer a structured environment where young athletes can learn the fundamentals of football, develop teamwork skills, and engage in healthy competition. The age divisions are:

  • 6U: Born on or after 7/31/2017
  • 7U: Born on or after 7/31/2016
  • 8U: Born on or after 7/31/2015
  • 9U: Born on or after 7/31/2014
  • 10U: Born on or after 7/31/2013
  • 11U: Born on or after 7/31/2012
  • 12U: Born on or after 7/31/2011
  • 13U: Born on or after 7/31/2010
  • 14U: Born on or after 7/31/2009

Each child's age on July 31 determines their age for the season. Players must meet league age qualifications by this cut-off date.

Cheerleading

The cheerleading program at South Florida Mustangs focuses on developing the skills and talents of young cheerleaders in a supportive and enthusiastic environment. Participants learn cheer routines, stunts, and dance, all while building teamwork and leadership skills. The league provides uniforms for all fully registered participants, while parents or guardians need to ensure their children have water bottles.
